An Overview
School of Information Science and Technology (SIST) was founded in the year of 1992. In 2010, SIST and Hangzhou Institute of Service Engineering (HISE), which was founded in 2008, merged into one. The combination of SISE and HISE further promotes its overall strength.
The Ministry of Education of PRC, Ministry of Commerce of PRC, the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, and Hangzhou Municipal Government have been attaching great importance to the development of SIST. Under such big support, SIST was listed among the first batch of reform pilot units concerning cultivation of service outsourcing talents, and the first batch of Pilot Demonstration Colleges and Universities in Zhejiang Province concerning cultivation of application-oriented talents. Steadfastly following the road of close school-enterprise cooperation and the combination of “producing, teaching and research”, the college cultivates a great batch of medium and high-end talents with humanistic literacy, professional skills, international vision and creative thinking.
